Hi Reader,

It's almost May! One of my favorite months - the warmth starts for real, the garden is looking new and different every day, and it's my birthday month.πŸ˜‚ Since it's just around the corner, I thought I'd highlight the May menu a little early, you know, so you can be prepared and all, lol.

As spring progresses I really like the idea of doing more outside - eating as well as working in the yard, and maybe even reading on our finished side porch? (#dreaming) And I have visions of warm enough evenings that we can eat outside more than inside...but of course I live in western Oregon so May is probably not the month this will happen (a girl can dream...).

A real life menu

Here's what I'm pulling from the monthly May menu for us, thinking about what I have in the freezer, fridge and pantry - and planning on a couple of grilled things (maybe to eat outside!):

I like the summer weather, but I'm trying hard to enjoy the clouds and rain for the garden, lol. We've planted some shrubs that would like to not be scorched for a bit while they settle in and...

So I wanted to make some of Brian's favorite foods for this weekend and asked him to tell me what recipes of mine he likes. Surprisingly he didn't hem and...
