Hi Reader,

Can you feel fall in the air yet where you live? Every year about the end of August, it starts to feel different with lower morning temperatures and the sun in different place. This year is no different - in fact, our 7-day forecast even shows days of rain with highs in the 60s. Oh, dear - I'm trying to keep up a good face because we need the rain - but 60s? Sigh - I haven't gotten to wear all my sundresses enough yet, lol. Here's hoping for a few more warm days in September (our September wedding saw 90 degrees, so it's possible!).

Anyway, the turn of the calendar to September usually means things start picking up, either with school or church and community activities. The need for quick, healthy dinners is real - and I wanted to give you a few short lists to show what's possible in just a few minutes in the kitchen. Everything from bowls, to pastas, and soups - which all sound about perfect as we get more into fall weather. I hope these recipes help your dinners to be tasty and quick!

I loved getting some garden jobs crossed off the list in super pleasant weather and a few more meals out on the porch.😎 I got the garlic planted, as well as some new lavender and boxwoods for the porch garden...

Which means our stretch of mild, summer-like weather is over and my sundresses really have to be put away this time (our false end-of-summer in August and September had me thinking...

But October - that's the real transition month for us. The beginning of the month is typically still nice...
