Hi Reader,

The days are getting longer and my daffodils are blooming, so I'm definitely feeling spring fever! Which makes having my right hand in a cast that much more lovely. 😂

Though I'm so grateful that my last orthopedic appointment showed the bones healing great in the cast! The doctor actually said I'm unique to be able to avoid surgery at my age - it's usually kids who she manipulates the bones and casts. So yay! (Though I'm here to say "manipulating the bones" is no joke - lots of tylenol and IB!)

And in just a little under 3 weeks and I'll get the cast removed - still in good time to do spring garden chores.😀

A Week of Dinners

The March meal plan includes 4 weeks of dinners and sides for well-rounded, veggie full meals (see the newly updated menu below), but here's a sample week that I'm plugging into our meal plans:

Add our standard burger or pizza Saturday and on-your-own Sunday and a week's dinners are planned!

A Few More Things

  1. I've discovered that zippers and buttons are not my friend with a cast, so I've been wearing pull on pants. Problem is I only had summery linen pants, so I ordered a pair of these heavier sweat pants (not joggers) and I just love the texture of them. Sturdy and sleeker than standard fleece with a pintuck down the front of the legs, I feel comfortable wearing these out around town.
  2. We're moving away from plastic coffee pods (RIP Keurig) and after looking at lots of options, the simplest and cheapest option has been to go back to basic pour overs. We use this ceramic pour over with these natural filters and add them right to our compost when done. So less trash, too!
  3. I'm listening to this historical fiction that a reader recommended while on the treadmill and am really enjoying it!

Here's to a lovely week - thanks for reading along!

I've been dipping my feet into using my new greenhouse to start seeds and pot them up. I'm going to move to hardening off plants I started indoors this week,...

Winter turning to spring...

Of course if you've broken a bone you know that the restrictions come from the new range of motion you have (or lack thereof...).😂 So I'm slowly getting my wrist used to moving again...
