Hi Reader,

It's been a great week here at the farmhouse- I got my wrist cast off on Tuesday! 🎉 The doctor said the bones had healed perfectly and I have "no restrictions!" Of course if you've broken a bone you know that the restrictions come from the new range of motion you have (or lack thereof...).😂 So I'm slowly getting my wrist used to moving again (yes, it's painful, which surprised me) and it is getting better each day with the exercises they gave me to do.

But not having a cast or splint for the first time in 6 weeks? Bliss.💜 I was able to make a simple dinner by myself and even knit again by the second night. After something like this you really appreciate the little things again.😀

Quintessential Spring Recipes

Easter is next weekend! I am hosting our family mid-day dinner and providing the ham (and ham sauce, of course), but some have a brunch tradition, so I've included some wonderful options for both meals below.

A Few More Things

  1. Brian and I saw Project Hail Mary this week and it was SO good! We loved the book (we listened to it together) and were thrilled that the movie was faithful to the book. It was so fun to see all the space and science-y things from the book brought to life.
  2. I finished listening to this book that was recommended from a reader who knew I enjoyed historical fiction and I really liked it! It was so interesting to get a viewpoint of a lead character who was a thief and pickpocket and the road that lead her down that path. I wish there was more about her life at the end, though. It seemed rushed and I would've liked an epilogue.

I appreciate you! Here's to a beautiful week.💜

I've been dipping my feet into using my new greenhouse to start seeds and pot them up. I'm going to move to hardening off plants I started indoors this week,...

Winter turning to spring...

I guess spring is known for wild fluctuations, but I thoroughly enjoyed the three days (3 days!) of 70+ degrees we had with windows...
