Hi Reader,

Before I get into this week's newsletter, I want to mention that the Canning Cookbooks are now in stock and we've mailed them to all those who preordered! And anyone who orders now will have their books mailed the next day. ๐Ÿ˜€

Okay - I know it's pretty early, but I've found over the years that at least starting to think about holiday gifts in October gives me time to make things as well as just plan and maybe even order some gifts to take advantage of sales as I see them. You, too?

So I thought I'd talk about this today in case you're a planner and you can see what resources I have that might help you.

And also the one fall dessert we have every single year without fail.๐Ÿงก Plus of course the recipes up this week on the site.

Holiday Gift Resources

The biggest thing I have for you is this Holiday Gift Planner that walks you through 4 weeks from the planning stages to wrapping. Not too short and not too long - can you imagine being done in 4 weeks or even sooner?

It's free and you can click the button below to open it in a new window because you're already a subscriber (please don't share it, though - share this link if you think someone would enjoy it and they'll get on my email list, too ๐Ÿ˜€).

My Favorite Fall Must-Make Dessert

I've made this every year since my kids were in elementary school - in fact, I've already made it this year and had an apple tasting with it for a family game night!

Oh, and guess what? Leftovers can be used to drizzle on ice cream or on Easy Apple Crumble Recipe (with Big Crumb Topping), French Apple Pie or Whole Grain Oat Apple Butter Bars. ๐Ÿ’œ

From The Blog

โ€‹Cheesy Bacon Dip in a Bread Bowlโ€‹

I've been holding out on you - this is a dip my kids still ask for as adults but I've never put in on the site before now. Serve and watch it disappear in minutes!

I spent hours going through the 1000+ comments on this classic OC recipe so I could provide answers to questions, more details, and reader substitutions. The tutorial is clearer too. If you haven't tried these yet, I hope you do!

A Few More Things

We watched KPop Demon Hunters on Netflix last weekend with our grandson and while we had heard about it (the songs are in the top Spotify lists), we did not expect it to be so fun! It's really cute with a good message that's clean so easy to watch with kids. The "demons" look bad, but never very scary and of course they don't win in the end. ๐Ÿ˜€

I'm halfway through reading this book which is a rom-com I'm actually laughing along with, as it's got pretty clever dialog. I don't always end up liking books like this but I read about it on another blog and put a hold at the library. I'm glad I did - I like the characters and think their 'issues' are reasonable (unlike some books that have me rolling my eyes...) and love the slow-burn chemistry. It's closed-door and is billed as a 'sweet grumpy-sunshine' trope which I totally agree with!

Here's to a great week, enjoying the changing colors along with the rain and changing weather! Appreciate you ๐Ÿ’œ

Know someone who'd appreciate this? Forward it along!

Not only was it personally fulfilling to see these two books I've labored over received well, but Brian and I had fun watching the sales come in and then packaging up each order.๐Ÿ’œ Of course even though the sale is over, I still think the canning...

But that didn't stop us from having our scheduled date night where we had some great BBQ at a local restaurant and then saw the movie, Good Fortune, which I wasn't sure about from the trailer but turned out to be pretty good. The rest of our week was pretty normal, which got me to...
